As ProPresenter 5 nears release date there are features new to ProPresenter 5 slowly making a splash in the worship media community. I’m very excited about this new release. We use it our Church on an iMac i7 and works flawlessly. How to get a free upgrade.

Here are some of the new features:
1. Transitions: New slide and text animation. These are not simple animations. The new animations in ProPresenter 5 are like ones you would custom make in After Effects. I’ve seen a short example of how it works on a song and it really did add emotion to the song!

2. Backgrounds Tool: They started a backgrounds tool in ProPresenter 4. Currently the tool allows you to sync up multiple motion loops to match properties like speed and colors. Now in ProPresenter 5 you can add color filters (Sepia as an example) and blur effects.

3. Planning: Tight integration with a well known tool “Planning Center Online”. You can sync up worship schedules and presentation automatically through the online service.

4. Reporting: ProPresenter 5 offers SongSelect CCLI reporting of all songs played and the CCLI number associated. This allows you to keep track of a presentation created which is mandatory from CCLI.

There is plenty more to be released on features before the release date of the software. So stay tuned.

This is great news. ProPresenter 5 will be released in the Winter of 2011. Just a few months. The great news is anyone who purchases ProPresenter 4 after October 1, 2011 will receive a free upgrade to ProPresenter 5! What an amazing deal. ProPresenter version 5 (minimum Mac specifications)

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor or better
OS: MacOS X 10.5.8 or later
RAM: 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended)
Video Card: Dual display with screen spanning capability (a dedicated graphics card with 512MB VRAM is recommended)
Stage Display: Additional output required for stage display function (third video out – PCI or USB)

ProPresenter version 5 (minimum Windows specifications)

Processor: 2.0GHz Core Duo or above
OS: Windows 7 ONLY, with Service Pack 1. Win7 32-bit or 64-versions are supported.
RAM: 4 GB RAM
Video Card: A dedicated/discreet video card is required. We recommend an NVIDIA GeForce series or ATI Radeon HD series card with a minimum of 512MB of dedicated memory. DirectX 9.0c or later is required. (Intel video cards are not supported and we don’t recommend NVIDIA Quadro series cards.)
Stage Display: Additional output required for stage display function (third video out – PCI or USB)

NOTE: For heavy or advanced use of video (i.e. multiple video clips per slide, HD content, etc.), a faster system is advised.

EasyWorship For Mac

As mentioned in my last post the new EasyWorship will have the ability to run on both platforms Apple Mac OS X and Windows.

The interfaces will be similar to each other and will still incorporate the same flow as the EasyWorship 2009 version. Although there is not much information yet on the new release SoftTouch Development released a screenshot of the new Mac OS X interface. AWESOME!

The new version of EasyWorship will be a site license so you can use it on a Mac or Windows and on as many computers as you like in the Church. Great work SoftTouch Development!
